ONE Jiu-Jitsu is a veteran owned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy founded by Craig Allom, a proud ex-soldier of the 1st Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (1 RAR).
Craig Allom served as a soldier with 1 RAR, one of Australia’s most respected and storied light infantry units within the Royal Australian Regiment. His time in the Army instilled the values that now form the foundation of everything we do at ONE Jiu-Jitsu: discipline, resilience, integrity, respect, and an unwavering commitment to self-improvement.
After completing his military service, Craig turned his focus to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — a martial art whose demands for mental toughness, strategic thinking, and continuous growth closely mirror the standards he lived by in uniform. He founded ONE Jiu-Jitsu to create an academy that reflects those same principles, offering a training environment where students are held to a high standard and supported every step of the way.
The ONE Jiu-Jitsu Difference
When you train at ONE Jiu-Jitsu, you’re stepping into an academy shaped by real world military experience. The structure, the culture, and the expectations on the mats all trace back to the lessons Craig learned serving his country.
Our Mission
To build capable, confident, and resilient individuals through the discipline of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — guided by the values of those who have served.
“My time in 1 RAR taught me what people are truly capable of when they commit to something bigger than themselves. I started ONE Jiu-Jitsu to bring that same environment to the community — a place where the work is real, the people have your back, and you leave better than you arrived.”
— Craig Allom, Founder | Ex 1 RAR
